JLL WA Ellis

A Best in Class Estate Agent Solution.

W.A.Ellis is a partnership offering exceptional service across all aspects of residential property in prime central London. W.A.Ellis opened it s doors in 1868 and we today operate a 24/7 telephone service to ensure that we are always available to help our clients. They have won numerous awards and offer a boutique property offering for properties around Knightsbridge and Kensington.

The 2012 website development project for W.A. Ellis comprised two main sets of requirements:

  • Branding – developing a modern online website which reflected the strong brand and level of high-class multimillion-pound properties that are for sale on the website.
  • Functionality – delivering responsive and engaging content using up-to-date delivery techniques and demonstrating leading-edge tools and functionality to visitors of the site.

Tomia was commissioned to define and document the business requirements relating to the new solution and to subsequently, deliver the solution and branding remit.

The challenge Tomia faced was that there were a number of constraints to the business engagement:

  • Live property feeds had to be integrated with existing systems
  • The W.A.Ellis brand needed to maintain is visual impact between on and offline material

Tomia deployed their Estate Agent Platform and created a roadmap of custom development required to achieve a best in class website. The design underwent an extensive and careful process working closely with W.A.Ellis marketing director. Through research Tomia designed a user-friendly website which explained W.A.Ellis complex boutique offering. Tomia also built a draw map function to search specific areas of a map based on selected points. This is the kind of functionality usually only obtainable on big budget sites like Rightmove or Foxtons.

An outstanding website which accurately portrays W.A.Ellis in the best light. The new site has had a positive effect on client feedback and January 2013 traffic to the site have improved engagement significantly compared to 2012. Visitors on average now spend nearly 44% longer on the site and view 28% more pages. Information is automatically published from internal systems to the web on an hourly basis and the client has full control over the site’s content. A property matching system now automatically emails registered users when new properties matching the profile are published to the site.
